As you may already know, all triathlon wetsuits are susceptible to small tears. This is not a manufacture defect. In fact, these small tears will not affect the performance of your triathlon wetsuit provided that you take the time to make a minor self-repair upon discovery.
The more flexible the wetsuit, the more susceptible the suit is to these small tears.
Please follow the tips below in order to reduce the probability of these small tears:
1 – Soak your new wetsuit in water overnight before trying on for size. Place a heavy object (which won't corrode) on it to keep it fully submerged. (This won’t void the warranty or our 30-day return policy.)
2 – Allow your new wetsuit to dry out completely. (Ensure that the suit is not in the Sun)
After completing each of the steps above, try it on for size. At the beginning of every season you should repeat this process to help rejuvenate the materials.
If for some reason you still experience a small tear, don’t worry. These tears are simple to self-repair with the glue that we have provided with your wetsuit. If you need another tube, please email us at info@xterrawetsuits.com
